Thompson's Mercantile Store

This store is ready to provide the town's people with groceries, clothing, shoes, jewelry, hats and many more items.  To reach the highest of shelves that are stocked with all of the necessities, the storekeeper climbs a ladder with wheels that can coast from side to side for the most modern accessibility.  In the middle stands a potbelly stove with a flickering fire and a checkerboard just waiting for someone to enter into a serious game of checkers.  Display cabinets and a piano, both dating back to the mid 1800's adorn the store that has a 14' tin ceiling.

Leo's Radio Store

This shop is in honor of Carol's Father, Leo, who sells and services radios, TVs and even jukeboxes.  There is the Mills Juke Box that holds just 12 records and several radios on display.  He is standing behind the counter as he discuses a repair with a customer looking at a new radio.  He worked for Lyon & Healy in Chicago for 48 years.  He had the privilege of installing the sound system for the dinosaurs at the World's Fair that was held in Chicago in 1933.  He also installed the sound system on Zephyr Train and was on the maiden voyage.  He was a very colorful gentleman and enjoyed life to its fullest until age 94.

Jimmy Walker Ford Dealership

This Ford Dealership is named in honor of our very good friend, Jimmy Walker, who passed away at the age 42. He was very instrumental in the restoration of this 1915 Model T Ford Depot Hack that is currently being worked by Jimmy's head mechanic. The dealership is equipped with a modern shop and parts department.
